tips for young actors
Show business is my life. It is the only thing I *have* to do. I love live stage, but also have a fantastic time doing film/TV, and print work. In addition, I love to choreograph, stage, write shows, you name it. I love the Industry!
My greatest joy in life is being on the stage. Not because the audience gives me attention, but because I can give attention to the audience.
The world is a pretty tough place sometimes, and if for a few hours I can pull someone out of the troubles of their day ... a death in the family, problems at work, an argument with a spouse ... and take them to a place where they can forget about life for a few hours, then I have truly done my job. That's the joy of theater. It allows the audience to experience emotional catharsis through comedy and drama so that they can leave with a little piece of something added to their souls.
